……….. Bloody reality it is for the unprepared low income Indians working in Saudi Arabia – Returning to India for good.  

A mountain of surprises awaits for most NRI’s.   First and foremost is that expression from own family members as to why did you return? 

Money is NOT everything!

We should have enough money to be secure!

but money cant bring in happiness.  Its a feeling and not related to worldly things.

Its attributed to obeying our Creator Allah.

Nothing else can make a person happy…. NOTHING.

Social Vaccum

Its been damn 15 years I spent in this country, and still not having developed a sense of belonging to this place invokes a feeling that cant be described. 15 long years in this country and the fear of repatriation to India makes it worse. The inherent luxuries this country has given, have also in a way spoiled us a lot making the repatriation more difficult. Once in Dammam I read a sign board, Alien Housing referring to expat housing.

Expats here and when we go to India, we are strangers there too. Ajaanib hina wa Ajaanib Huna, expats here and expats there.
….. and people think we are sheikhs…..in Saudi Arabia.
